Event Description:

Poets Rita Espechit and Peter Midgley have arrived in Edmonton from very different parts of the planet. Their shared performance will be a dialogue of different languages – Portuguese, Afrikaans, English, and isiXhosa. Both writers have published extensively in their own countries. Rita, now the PEN Writer in Exile here, is a well-known and widely published children’s author from Brazil. Peter, now acquisitions editor of the University of Alberta Press, is a children’s author, playwright, and storyteller.
