The Edmonton Cultural Capital Program celebrates April as National Poetry Month by launching a web-based anthology, complete with images, video clips and text poems. The anthology is compiled from materials collected during the 2007 Edmonton Poetry Festival.You are invited to click here to enter the anthology on the Edmonton Poetry festival website:

The 2007 Edmonton Poetry Festival was an eclectic, lively and stimulating week of poetry events. The range of poetry on the anthology is wide and includes:
- Slam poet Jack McCarthy on 'defining poetry.'
- Performance star Christian Bök electrifying a Dadaist sound poem.
- Young rap poet Gelli Bean sharing her words.
- Scientist-poet Roald Hoffmann comparing the creation of the periodic table to the creation of a poem.
- Catherine Owen on the challenges of working with at-risk young people to create video poems.
- The celebration of Aboriginal woman through the Honour Songs project with its shawls, voices and movements.
